VALLEY OF FLOWERS TREK 2017

  • A chanced discovery on a lost path made by British traveller Frank Smith in 1931 resulted in the world welcoming the enchanting Valley Of Flowers. His book by the same name created a stir among nature lovers, making the Valley Of Flowers Trekking one of the most sought after since then.Perched gracefully under the watchful eyes of the towering Himalayan peaks protecting the tranquil environs, the valley is situated at an altitude of 3,858m.

  • With millions of species of wild flowers such as saxifrags, sediams, lilies, poppy, calendular, daisies, geranium, zinnia and petunia, the valley also holds many streams that add on to the natural beauty. The rich bio diversity is also home for several species of butterflies and insects too.

WEEKEND DEORIATAL CHANDRASHILA TREK

A quaint and rustic village in Uttarakhand, Tungnath is better known as the starting point of the much acclaimed Chopta Chandrashila Trek. Reaching a height of 2,680m, this picturesque hamlet is adorned with the enchanting beauty of the evergreen pine, deodar and rhododendron forests.
Be it the untouched beauty or the natural marvels around this Chopta, its myriad list of offerings and pictorial appeal has earned it the fame of being called the 'Mini Switzerland of India'. While during the summers or springs, the entire vicinity gets embraced with the charm and appeal of the exotic vegitation, during the winters, Chopta wears a thick blanket of snow that makes it even more appealing.

WHO WE ARE

Hiker's Own Destination

The Hiker's Club began in Jan 2017. Originally part of Hippies Adventures, the group organised hundreds of trips in the Himalayas.

The group attracts a wide range of people, typically aged mid 20’s to 40 and over. Most of our members are from India and some from overseas area but we welcome people from all over the World. Many join the group to escape Cities at weekends but also to see some great scenery and meet like minded people who also have an interest in the great outdoors.

We welcome people of all experience levels. Everyone has to start somewhere and all we ask is that you make sure you have the right clothing and equipment so that you are safe and enjoy the experience. There is no formal process to joining the group and no membership fee. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend our events. New trips are added all the time but spaces can sometimes sell out quickly. The best way to keep informed about new events is either to ‘like’ our Facebook page or sign up to our Email Newsletter (there is a form at the bottom of our contact us page).
